“I am getting ready to apply for a job that I am extremely interested in (dream job status) and
felt that spending some extra money to make sure my cover letter was 100% was a reasonable
expense. I had been working on the letter for quite some time and while I knew I wanted a
professional editor on it, I also knew I'd need someone who knew me to make sure my voice
didn't get lost. Fortunately, after following Naa the Proofer on Twitter for quite some time, I
got an opportunity to use her services. Naa exceeded my expectations in every single way! Her
response time was quick, her professionalism was great, and her edits--wow. Not much I can
really say other than "wow" because they were just that great! Not only do I recommend her

I sent the letter over on a Sunday, not expecting a response, but still received one! Naa informed me she does not typically work on Sundays unless it is a special emergency service and if that is what was needed, it could be arranged. Even receiving the confirmation that she received it and also that there are other services I could opt into if I was in a pinch was awesome.
While I informed Naa the turn-around time on my letter, she did not take her time as far as taking care of it was concerned. I believe I waited a total of 24hrs (not counting Sunday because she was off).
Again, her edits! I truly believed there would be very little to edit. I know I'm not the strongest when it comes to doing more descriptive writing (I am a grant writer, so we tend to keep it very short and technical), but Naa really helped create a strong flow. My voice was not lost but the effectiveness of the letter increased exponentially after Naa got into it. Some of the edits were minor, add an apostrophe here, reword a sentence there, while others were more substantial, such as moving entire paragraphs to different areas, but all the changes made just created a more palatable letter. I should mention the job I am applying for has no application component- -it's just the letter and cv/resume, so making sure this letter is as strong as possible so that it can stand out amongst other candidates, is pivotal. I believe Naa took it there. Thank you, Naa the Proofer! I appreciate your great work and will send others I know who need editing services your way.
